Our last week of school is here!!! Your child MUST bring a lunch and drink to school all week. The cafeteria is now closed.
Thursday is a casual day. We will be cleaning, watching movies and having an afternoon field day.
Friday is a dress up day for our last day of school. The 9:00 a.m. Mass will be followed by the middle school honors awards. Dismissal follows at 11:00 a.m. Remember, there are NO BUSES at dismissal time. Please make sure your child knows how they are getting home.
Please check the green envelope for Champions Summer Program, Vacation Bible School, and other important information as our school year comes to an end.
All students should continue working on their studies throughout the summer. A good way is with the workbook called "Summer Bridge" or "Spectrum" that covers all subjects especially math and language arts. These are available at Barnes and Noble for all grade levels. Students are also encouraged to read throughout the summer.
Thank you for all your support throughout the year. Have a great summer!!!
GRADE 6: I hope your child has brought home their book to reread chapter 16 "European Exploration of Africa and Asia" for the open book test on Monday. I have told them that rereading this short chapter is the best way to prepare for an open book test. They must have an idea where to find answers quickly since they only have the one class period (like always) to complete the test. All books will be collected. We will be reading Jr. Scholastic Magazines and watch a movie called "I Am Eleven" about children from around the world and their thoughts about everyday life for them.
GRADE 6: ENGLISH: We will be working this week on adverbs. All books will be collected.
GRADE 7: All books will be collected. We will be reading Jr. Scholastic Magazines and watching our final DVDs this year from the series "America-The Story of Us." Their final chapter covered moving westward. We will watch about this move and then watch a DVD on the division of our country. This will prepare them for next year as 8th graders when they begin with chapter 14 "The Nation Divided 1846-1861."
GRADE 8: I have enjoyed these students for the past few years. Good Luck in high school!!! You will be missed.
